Keyboard Mapping Traktor Protreerealestate

During the music analysis, TRAKTOR attempts to learn how your tracks are structured. Tempo is based on the shape of the waveform, with the sharp peaks (known as transients) understood as your rhythm sounds. TRAKTOR then works out where the first beat is, counts based on a 4/4 time signature, and adds a grid marker to the track. Mar 15, 2012 Only thing I had to do was map the autogrid button to key '1' and all is good:) ffxp over 5 years ago Seems to work well for Traktor 2.8.1 // UNCHECK THIS // Preferences.Analyze.BPM Detection.Store Beatmarker as Hotcue // Then re-analyze any tracks that have not been beatgridded or any new tracks. Press Import, Save your current mapping if you wish but don’t worry about this if you are running default mapping. Load the file you downloaded. Now when you click slicer on the DDJ RB, your controller will in fact open and utilise the keyboard performance mode, allowing you to key. This explains how to map a midi keyboard to play songs and loops like a synth. Values for each key.000.083.167.250.333.417.5.583.667.750.833.917mapping ins.

Traktor Bible - Mappings Overview

Jul 11, 2011 There’s two default keyboard mappings that installed along with Traktor. Check in the NI folder in documents for the tsi file and the pdf. To load these mappings go to the controller manager and select add. There’s also a couple on traktorbible.com.

  • I’m gonna start surfing the web for this info but if anyone here has good suggestions, please let me know. I’m looking for an efficient way to map Tracktor on the keyboard. I remember reading somewhere here that Phil actually DJ’ed in public like this for a while. So, I know it can be done. I’m using the default one but I’m still learning what certain things do.

    Things that puzzle me are:
    1) That crossfader! Probably the most important thing i’m looking for. Something that directly switches from deck A to B and also a different setting that allows for a more gradual change.
    2) FX units: Less is more in my case. I’ve messed around with most of them but only see myself using reverb, flanger, delay, and gater for the time being.

That’s pretty much it for now. I’m actually gonna try mixing a set right now and see if I can think of any other functions I would consider important before searching online.

    Hello Mike 🙂
    I have found this image for you;
I Hope this is what you are looking for 🙂

I just finished going through two 30 min demo sessions with the Traktor demo (which I’m perfectly happy for the time being. I will buy it soon though!) The more I mix songs together, the more I fall in love with this!!!! Slowly but surely i’m learning my tracks inside and out and i’m starting to feel which ones go good together.

    Current mood: 😀

This is Excellent Mike 🙂 🙂
It is that ‘Inner Feeling’ that DJ’ing Gives Us that we just Can’t Get Anywhere Else; that tells us whether this is ‘For Us Or Not’; and you have that ‘Feeling’; and this is All That Matters; Everything Else will come Naturally from now on 😎

Traktor has most of its commands mapped to the keyboard already. If you buy it, you’ll get a printout with all the key mapping. I thought I had a picture of what it looks like, but I can’t find it at the moment.

That said, you can re-map any key to an application function. It is not the most user-friendly mapping editor. Why Native Instruments hasn’t changed it yet, I’m not sure. They should though.

True, but have you seen VDJ’s mapping editor? They have their own scripting language to map stuff! At least Traktor gives you an easy drop down menu of commands.

I haven’t looked at VirtualDJ, no. Why NI can’t make it like LIVE is beyond me. I want to click the control and move my controller. It should be that simple.

I know him pretty well via the internet, he’s a good guy. Side note, his best friend works for NI.

How To Set Up A Third-Party TRAKTOR READY Controller

Hi there
Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I've looked extensively online, on the Native Instruments site, and various forums, and wondered if anyone could help.
I've been using Traktor Pro on a Mac for a while, and wanted to know if there's any way I can control the separate channel faders using hotkeys on my keyboard? Using a mouse doesn't allow me to control both at the same time, I can't find any default keys to do so, and can't work out how to map the controls in the settings.
Before you mention it, yes, I'm waiting to get a controller, but have a gig in a few days, and would really appreciate any constructive assistance!
Thanks in advance.
